a voice you think you may have heard before, but then you doubted yourself, and then again changed your mind because you knew the sound of the voice all along.
Randy was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. Since childhood, he constantly surrounded himself with music. From early grade school to higher education, his musical background was based entirely in wind instruments as he learned the saxophone and the bassoon. In 2001, Randy earned a Bachelor of Music from The University of North Texas where his concentration was bassoon performance. As a bassoonist, he performed in north Texas area chamber and orchestra ensembles in a professional capacity from 1998 to 2002. In 2004, he relocated to Los Angeles to pursue technical creative work in film music, but soon after in 2006, he found himself moving fast into a quite different direction in music. He stumbled upon something simply wondrous ... a picture illustrating the touch-less interaction of the space control theremin! Suffice to say, from day one with the instrument forward, there has been no looking back. Randy's love for the theremin knows no bounds.
Although just beginning his career as a thereminist, over the past two years he has been making waves for the general awareness of the theremin via memorable music video contributions to the world wide web.
In April '08, Randy George performed and led workshop/discussions at the 2008 Ether Music Festival, an international theremin festival sponsored by Moog Music.
i love your music! you are the best theremin player i've ever seen. :] after seeing many of your videos on youtube, i've been inspired. i'm ordering a theremin, because i want to learn to play it as beautifully as you! :D thank you for creating such wonderful music.
You know, I'm not familiar with what a theremin is, but when I saw you get on that in the daft punk cover video I was like, "Wow".
Then I saw that you specialize in that. That's fantastic. It's got this haunting voice to it. Or is it a synth since it's from Moog and can change Osc, envelope etc? I don't know. But it's amazing hearing you play it.
That video is so many different levels of AWESOME. I think "Something About Us" is definitely one of their underrated tracks. I love that song. You did a great job!
It was good to hang with you again the other day. Thanks for sharing your genius with us. Now if we can just harness all that talent and brainpower for world domination....
Thank you very much Randy! Nice to be friends with you! strong hugs! guiye

I just wanted to say I love your work. Before I saw your videos on youtube, I never even knew the theremin even existed! I was inspired to pursue learning this instrument, so thanks :)
I finally got an e-pro! Last week one of the authorized dealers called me up and said they had one of the limited editions in stock. So I jumped at the chance and got it for sticker price.
It was well worth it to say the least. Although I am still trying to get used to it since it is a big step up from the standard in terms of quality, functionality and playability.
